Don't see your plan? Reach out - we're adding new contracts regularly, and out-of-network benefits may also apply.

We verify benefits with your insurance company as a courtesy. Copay, coinsurance, and benefit information provided by our office is not a guarantee of insurance coverage or payment.

Self-pay

Self-pay is available

Patients may choose to pay directly for care. Contact our office for current self-pay information before scheduling.

We accept HSA/FSA cards and major credit cards. Superbills may be available on request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Your rights

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Federal rules give people who are uninsured or paying out of pocket the right to know what their care is expected to cost before it happens.

  • Patients who are uninsured or self-pay generally have the right to a written estimate of expected charges.
  • Eligible patients may receive one when care is scheduled at least three business days in advance, or when they ask for one.
  • A Good Faith Estimate is not a bill.
  • A patient may qualify for the federal dispute process when a provider's bill is at least $400 above that provider's estimate.
  • Emergency care is not part of this estimate process.

For the full federal explanation of these rights, see Know Your Rights on CMS.gov.

Before your first visit

How to verify your coverage

A few minutes of prep on your end can prevent surprise bills later. Here's what to ask your insurance company when you call the member services number on the back of your card.

  1. 1

    Confirm we're in-network

Ask: "Is Abhaya Behavioral Health in-network for outpatient mental health?" If a specific clinician is involved, use their full name and NPI.

  2. 2

    Ask about your benefits

Get clarity on your copay or coinsurance, your deductible status, and any visit limits by calling your insurance company.

  3. 3

Check if prior authorization is needed

Some plans require pre-approval before the first visit. If so, ask what they need from us and how long it takes.

  4. 4

    Save the reference number

Write down the rep's name, the call reference number, and the date. If a billing question comes up later, this protects you.

Common questions

Quick answers about insurance

Do you bill insurance directly?

Yes. For the plans we are in-network with, we bill your insurance and you are responsible only for your copay, coinsurance, or deductible at the time of service.

What if my plan is out-of-network?

You can still see us. We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Self-pay rates also apply.

Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?

Yes.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. We accept HSA/FSA cards as well as major credit cards.
