Care that everyone can reach.
We believe care starts with access - including access to information. This site is built to work for as many people as possible, on as many devices as possible.
Our commitment
Abhaya Behavioral Health is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build this site to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we've done
The following accessibility features are built into every page:
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element - links, buttons, forms, menus - can be reached and used with a keyboard alone. A visible focus indicator shows where you are at all times.
- Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page lets keyboard users jump past the navigation.
- Semantic HTML. We use proper HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, article, aside, footer) so assistive technology can navigate the page structure.
- Color contrast. Text colors meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Text alternatives. All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes.
- Contact options. Phone and email links are available without completing a website form.
- Resizable text. The site remains usable when you zoom in to 200% or larger, on both desktop and mobile.
- Reduced motion. Animations respect your system's "reduce motion" preference.
- Mobile-friendly. The layout adapts to phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We're aware of the following and working to address them:
- Embedded Google Maps. The maps on our contact page are embedded from Google. Their full accessibility is controlled by Google, not by us.
- Office video. The office tour has a text description beside the player, and office photos have descriptive alternative text.
- Documents. Our privacy notice is available as an HTML page. Contact us if you need another document in an accessible format.
This statement is reviewed and updated as we improve the site.
